EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WERE BUSY SUNDAY IN MAURY COUNTY. MEMBERS OF THE MAURY COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT STARTED THE DAY WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT JUST AFTER 10 ON HIGHWAY 7 AT LEIPERS CREEK ROAD IN WHICH ONE PATIENT WAS AIRLIFTED. SHORLY AFTER 11 UNITS WERE DISPATCHED TO A STRUCTURE FIRE ON HIGHWAY 166 WHERE ARRIVING UNITS FOUND FLAMES SHOOTING FROM THE DOORS. JUST AFTER NOON, MAURY COUNTY ASSISTED SUMMERTOWN FIRD DEPARTMENT WITH A MEDICAL CALL IN WHICH A PATIENT HAD TO EVACUATED FROM THE TRAILS AT STILLHOUSE HOLLOW FALLS AND SHORTLY AFTER 1, RESPONDERS WERE DISPATCHED A LAWN MOWER GRASS FIRE ON CARTERS CREEK PIKE. MAURY COUNTY 911, MAURY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER EMS, MAURY COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT AND OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, MT PLEASANT AND SUMMERTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENTS ASSISTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
