22ND DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL, BRENT COOPER, ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK, THE REMARKABLE FINANCIAL OPERATIONS OF THE 22ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT DRUG TASK FORCE AS SHOWN IN THE RECENTLY RELEASED ANNUAL STATE COMPTROLLER'S REVIEW OF FUNDS REPORT. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE JUDICIAL DISTRICT DRUG TASK FORCES OPERATES IN 25 OF THE 31 JUDICIAL DISTRICTS, INCLUDING THE 22ND WHICH INCLUDES GILES, LAWRENCE, MAURY AND WAYNE COUNTIES. EACH IS AUDITED ANNUALLY BY THE COMPTROLLER’S OFFICE. DURING THE RECENT AUDIT THERE WERE NO FINDINGS OR RECOMMENDED CHANGES IN THE 22ND DISTRICT OR ANY JUDICIAL DISTRICT DRUG TASK FORCE OR DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE ACROSS THE STATE. ATTORNEY GENERAL COOPER ADVISED IT IS DUE TO THE HARD WORK AND CAREFUL ATTENTION TO DETAIL BY DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVANTS.
