THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM HAS ANNOUNCED THE NEXT PHASE OF THEIR WORK ETHICS MATTER CAMPAIGN, WORK ETHIC DISTINCTION, JUNIOR.  THIS PHASE WILL BE AN ELEMENTARY INITIATIVE THAT WILL FOCUS ON 5TH GRADE STUDENTS AND WILL BE BASED ON THE SAME FOUR STANDARDS AS THE HIGH SCHOOL WORK ETHIC DISTINCTION HONOR.  GOOD ATTENDANCE, STAY DRUG FREE, BE POSITIVE AND BE A TEAM PLAYER.  STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A RUBRIC SIMILAR TO THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THE PROGRAM WILL BE ROLLED OUT TO FIFTH GRADES IN JANUARY.  IN ADDITION THE AMAZING SHAKE COMPETITION WILL BE INCLUDED THAT TEACHES STUDENTS HOW TO PROPERLY SHAKE HANDS AND INTRODUCE THEMSELVES.  CTE STUDENTS FROM ALL THREE HIGH SCHOOLS WILL BE INVOLVED WITH THE PROJECT THROUGH MENTORING AND INSTRUCTING ON THE DIFFERENT STANDARDS.
