A LAUDERDALE COUNTY MAN WAS CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER A POLICE CHASE SUNDAY.  ACCORDING TO THE TIMES DAILY, AN OFFICER WITH THE LEIGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ATTEMPTED TO STOP A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY BRIAN HALL, OF FLORENCE, AROUND 5:30 AM AT THE INTERSECTION OF COUNTY LINE ROAD AND SIXTH STREET. HALL ALLEGEDLY SPED OFF AS THE OFFICER ACTIVATED HIS EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND HEADED DOWN SIXTH STREET PAST GNAT POND ROAD WHERE THE VEHICLE WENT OFF THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WRECKED.  EMS TRANSPORTED HALL TO HELEN KELLER HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS LATER TRANSFERRED TO TUPELO MEDICAL CENTER IN CRITICAL CONDITION. THE MUSCLE SHOALS POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING.
