A LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR AN OUTSTANDING ARREST WARRANT ON FRIDAY AND NOW FACES ADDITIONAL DRUG CHARGES.  ACCORDING TO REPORTS, DEPUTIES WITH THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A RESIDENCE ON LAWRENCE AVENUE TO LOCATE DAVID PIKE, 38, OF LAWRENCEBURG WHO HAD AN ACTIVE ARREST WARRANT.  CONTACT WAS MADE WITH PIKE WHO WAS FOUND TO BE IN POSSESSION OF A PIPE CONTAINING CRYSTAL RESIDUE AND A BAGGIE WITH APPROXIMATELY 1.36 GRAMS OF A CRYSTAL SUBSTANCE BELIEVED TO BE METHAMPHETAMINE.  DEPUTIES OBSERVED IN PLAIN VIEW A SYRINGE AND CONSENT WAS GIVEN BY 51 YEAR OLD WILLIE RIPPY TO SEARCH HIS ROOM WHICH RESULTED IN THE DISCOVERY OF ONE BAGGIE WITH APPROXIMATELY .51 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED METH AND A SECOND BAGGIE WEIGHING APPROXIMATELY .93 GRAMS.  A GLASS PIPE WITH CRYSTAL RESIDUE AND A SET OF DIGITAL SCALES WAS ALSO LOCATED INSIDE THE ROOM.  BOTH PIKE AND RIPPY WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL WHERE THEY BOTH FACE SIMPLE POSSESSION CHARGES ALONG WITH POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.
