THE GILES COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION WILL MEET THURSDAY IN REGULAR SESSION AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE. AMONG THE ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED INCLUDE WHETHER TO SPLIT PROPOSED SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS INTO TWO PHASES AS PRESENTED EARLIER THIS YEAR BY ACTING DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS VICKIE BEARD AND COUNTY EXECUTIVE MELISSA GREENE. ND IF GILES COUNTY HIGH, BRIDGEFORTH AND RICHLAND SCHOOLS SHOULD BE THE FOCUS OF THE FIRST PHASE. AT A RECENT WORK SESSION, A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ENERGY SAVINGS GROUP TOLD BOARD MEMBERS IF A DECISION WAS MADE ON THE SCOPE OF WORK THURSDAY THE CONTRACT COULD GET APPROVED BY FEBRUARY AND PHASE ONE COULD BE COMPLETED BY SUMMER BREAK 2020.
