FLASH FLOODING LEAD TO ONE DEATH IN LAUDERDALE COUNTY SUNDAY NIGHT.  REPORTS INDICATE THE DRIVER OF A VEHICLE PERISHED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS A FLOODED AREA NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF LAUDERDALE COUNTY ROAD 50 AND HIGHWAY 207.  SWIFT WATER RESCUE CREWS FROM GREENHILL, KILLEN, ROGERSVILLE, FLORENCE, ELGIN, AND SHEFFIELD RESPONDED TO THE SCENE AROUND 10PM.  TWO OTHER DRIVERS IN SEPARATE VEHICLES WERE RESCUED NEARBY.  THE IDENTITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL WHO DIED HAS NOT YET BEEN RELEASED.  HEAVY RAINS CONTINUED IN SOUTHERN TENNESSEE WHERE LAWRENCE COUNTY RESCUERS WERE CALLED TO A STRANDED VEHICLE JUST AFTER 6 NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF GWINN AND HIGHWAY 43 IN ETHRIDGE.  GILES COUNTY SWIFT WATER RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO FOUR CALLS FOR HELP OVER A FOUR HOUR PERIOD SUNDAY NIGHT.  DESPITE THE NUMBER OF CALLS FOR ASSISTANCE, NO MAJOR INJURIES WERE REPORTED IN SOUTHERN TENNESSEE.
