TWO GILES COUNTY MEN ARE SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN COURT THIS WEEK TO FACE CHARGES OF BURGLARY AND THEFT.  DYLAN JACOB TOWNSEND, 19, OF PROSPECT AND TYLER CHANCE HARGROVE, 19, OF PULASKI WERE ARRESTED CHRISTMAS EVE AFTER A MULTI-AGENCY EFFORT TO SOLVE A RECENT BURGLARY AT A RESIDENCE IN MINOR HILL. THE HOME BELONGED TO THE ALSUP FAMILY WHO WAS INVOLVED IN A FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN MISSISSIPPI ON DECEMBER 15TH. AUTHORITIES INDICATE TOWSEND AND HARGROVE GAINED ACCESS DECEMBER 20TH AND ALLEGEDLY TOOK SEVERAL FIREARMS. THE PAIR WAS STOPPED FOR A WILDLIFE VIOLATION BY THE TWRA WHICH SEIZED SOME OF THE WEAPONS IN THE PROCESS.  AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT WAS REVEALED THAT THE SEIZED GUNS MATCHED THOSE TAKEN FROM THE ALSUP PROPERTY.  BOTH HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AND THEFT OF PROPERTY AND ARE SCHEDULED TO BE COURT ON THURSDAY.
