A SERIES OF NEW YEAR'S EVE AND NEW YEAR'S DAY TRAFFIC CRASHES HAVE KEPT AREA RESCUERS BUSY.  LAWRENCEBURG FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS AND LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS WERE CALLED TO THE INTERSECTION OF WEST POINT ROAD AND HIGHWAY 64 JUST BEFORE NOON TUESDAY ON A REPORT OF A THREE VEHICLE COLLISION WITH POSSIBLE INJURIES.  MINUTES LATER A TWO VEHICLE CRASH OCCURRED ON NORTH LOCUST AVENUE NEAR PIZZA HUT.  TRAFFIC WAS REROUTED ON OTHER LAWRENCEBURG STREETS WITH THE INCIDENT WAS CLEARED.  WEDNESDAY MORNING MEMBERS OF THE ETHRIDGE AND NEW PROSPECT FIRE DEPARTMENTS RESPONDED TO MATTOXTOWN ROAD ON A REPORT THAT A LOG TRUCK HAD OVERTURNED.  CREWS CONTAINED A SMALL FUEL SPILL FROM THE VEHICLE AND WERE ABLE TO REOPEN A PORTION OF THE ROADWAY SHORTLY AFTER THEIR ARRIVAL.  NO MAJOR INJURIES WERE REPORTED FROM ANY OF THE LOCAL CRASHES.
