THE BLISTERING HEAT OF SUMMER DAYS WILL RETURN THIS MONTH AS LAWRENCE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, AND PARENTS PREPARE TO ENJOY BEACH WEEK 2020.  ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE ANNUAL BIG KAHUNA FUNDRAISER WILL BEGIN MONDAY AND RUNS THROUGH HALFTIME OF THE LADY CATS BASKETBALL GAME ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 17. CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS HAVE SELECTED THEIR CANDIDATES FOR THE COVETED BIG KAHUNA HONOR AND ARE FINALIZING PLANS AND ACTIVITIES. ENTERING ITS 35TH YEAR, BEACH WEEK HAS PROVIDED RESOURCES TO SUPPORT FACULTY, STAFF, STUDENTS, AND FACILITY UPGRADES.  THE FUNDS GENERATED FROM THIS YEAR’S EVENT WILL CONTINUE TO FUND THE BEACH WEEK MICKEY DUNN CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WITH A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF FUNDS DIRECTED TOWARD CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ON CAMPUS, AS WELL AS OUR ACT STUDENT INCENTIVES, RESOURCES, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND STUDENT REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS.
