MAURY COUNTY FIRE FIGHTERS WERE BUSY THURSDAY NIGHT FIGHTING A LARGE HAY BALE FIRE AT SEQUOYA TRAIL. MEMBERS OF MAURY COUNTY FIRE AND RESCUE WERE DISPATCHED TO THE BLAZE ON CAMPBELLSVILLE PIKE AROUND 6 PM. UPON ARRIVAL UNITS FOUND 8 ROUND BALES FULLY INVOLVED ON A TRAILER. THE TRAILER HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM ITS TRUCK BUT DUE TO TRAFFIC ISSUES BRUSH 1 HOOKED THEIR WINCH TO THE TRAILER AND MOVED IT WHERE IT COULD BE BETTER MANAGED. CREWS WORKED FOR ALMOST THREE HOURS TO EXTINGUISH THE BLAZE. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
