THE GILES COUNTY COMMISSION MET IN REGULAR SESSION TODAY (TUESDAY).  LEADERS VOTED AND APPROVED RESOLUTIONS REGARDING THE  COUNTY ROAD LIST FOR 2020, THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT PERFORMING WORK FOR THE CITY OF ELKTON, ARDMORE, MINOR HILL, LYNNVILLE AND PULASKI, AND PLACING A SPEED LIMIT OF 40 MILES PER HOUR ON FRY BRANCH ROAD. LARRY WORSHAM WAS ALSO ELECTED AS 6TH DISTRICT COMMISSIONER, A POSITION THAT WAS VACATED IN DECEMBER WHEN LOUISE FAULKNER RESIGNED.  REPORTS FOR FROM THE FINANCE DIRECTOR INCLUDING GILES COUNTY GENERAL FUND, HIGHWAY CAPITAL PROJECTS, EDUCATION CAPITAL PROJECTS, WERE ALSO DISCUSSED AND APPROVED ALONG WITH THE GILES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT QUARTERLY REPORT.
