THE LAWRENCEBURG BOARD OF MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MET IN REGULAR SESSION TODAY (THURSDAY). THE MEETING BEGAN WITH CITY ADMINISTRATOR, CHRIS SCHAFFER INVITING EVERYONE TO A DEDICATION MONDAY AT 10 AT FIRST STATION ONE WHERE THE BUSHES WILL OFFICIALLY DONATE A DRONE TO THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT IN HONOR OF NORMAN SIMBECK. GARY WAYNE THEN GAVE LEADERS AN UPDATE ON THE CLEANUP EFFORTS FROM THE STORMS AND ADVISED IT IS EXPECTED TO BE AT LEAST ANOTHER 3 MONTHS BEFORE COMPLETED. MAYOR BLAKE REMINDED RESPONDERS THAT THE ELKS LODGE WILL HOLDING A LUNCHEON ON WEDNESDAY FROM 11 TO 2 IN THEIR HONOR. FOCUS THEN TURNED TO A LENGTHY AGENDA IN WHICH ALL ITEMS WERE VOTED ON AND APPROVED, INCLUDING RESOLUTIONS DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF EMA, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE CODES DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS AND RESOLUTIONS ALLOWING THE CITY TO REQUEST BIDS FOR REPAIR AND PAINTING OF THE CROCKETT HISTORICAL THEATER AND BIDS FOR A STORAGE BUILDING FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. JOHN FERGUSON WAS REAPPOINTED TO THE HISTORICAL ZONING COMMISSION AND JOSH DUKE WAS APPOINTED AS LAWRENCEBURG'S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE LAWRENCE COUNTY EQUALIZATION BOARD. THE BOARD IS SCHEDULED TO MEET AGAIN IN REGULAR SESSION ON THURSDAY MARCH 26TH.
