MAURY COUNTY SWIFT WATER RESCUE CREWS WERE BUSY TUESDAY NIGHT AFTER A VEHICLE WAS SWEPT OFF THE ROADWAY ON RALLY HILL ROAD. RESPONDERS FROM MAURY COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE DISPATCHED JUST AFTER 8 PM AND UPON ARRIVAL LOCATED THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 15 FEET DOWN STREAM. UNITS DEPLOYED A RAFT AND MISSED THE VEHICLE ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT AND A ROPE SYSTEM WAS SET UP THE SECOND TIME WHICH WAS SUCCESSFUL. ALL OCCUPANTS WERE ABLE TO SAFELY AND IMMEDIATELY MAKE IT TO SHORE FOLLOWING AN OPERATIONAL ISSUE WHICH CAUSED THE RAFT TO CAPSIZE. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED EXCEPT MINOR SCRAPES.
