SOUTHERN TENNESSEE REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM HAS ANNOUNCED THE WINNER OF THE MERCY AWARD NAMED AFTER LIFEPOINT HEALTH’S FOUNDING CHAIRMAN AND CEO, SCOTT MERCY. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, BETH SMITH, A PHARMACIST AT SOUTHERN TENNESSEE REGIONAL HOSPITAL LAWRENCEBURG, WAS THIS YEAR'S RECIPIENT. C E O ADAM MARTIN ADVISED SMITH WAS NOMINATED DUE TO HER CHARACTER THAT IS ROUTINELY DISPLAYED IN HER TREATMENT OF OTHERS AS WELL AS HER COMMITMENT TO MORAL EXCELLENCE. HE WENT ON TO ADD THAT SHE IS TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT SHARING HER KNOWLEDGE AND IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A NEW OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO AND WHEN SHE IS NOT GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO EDUCATE EMPLOYEES ON MEDICATION PROGRAMS, YOU WILL FIND HER IN THE COMMUNITY AT SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS.
