DAVID CROCKETT DAYS WILL BE HELD THIS WEEKEND AT DAVID CROCKETT STATE PARK IN LAWRENCEBURG.  EVENTS, SPONSORED BY THE DAVY CROCKETT LONG HUNTERS, WILL BE HELD FRIDAY FROM NOON TO 7 AND SATURDAY FROM 10 TO 7.  THE ANNUAL EVENT WHICH COMMEMORATES THE LIFE OF DAVID CROCKETT WILL BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR WITH NO VENDORS OR FOOD SALES. MEMBERS OF THE LONG HUNTERS WILL SET UP A PRE 1840S CAMP WHERE THEY WILL DEMONSTRATE CAMP LIFE AND PERIOD SKILLS AND TRADES TO VISITORS. THE CAMP AREA WILL BE NEAR CROCKETT'S MILL RESTAURANT IN THE PARK AND WILL BE A CONTROLLED AREA TO MAINTAIN THE 50 PERSON CAPACITY REQUIRED.  FOR MORE INFORMATION, CALL THE PARK OFFICE AT 931-762-9408.
