A CONTINUANCE WAS ORDERED SATURDAY MORNING IN THE TRIAL OF LIMESTONE COUNTY SHERIFF MIKE BLAKLEY. MEDIA SOURCES REPORT THE CALL WAS MADE DUE TO COVID 19. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE TRIAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY SET FOR MARCH OF LAST YEAR. BLAKELY IS FACING MULTIPLE THEFT AND ETHICS CHARGES, WHICH STEM OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS AND INCLUDE CHARGES OF ILLEGALLY TAKING MONEY FROM HIS CAMPAIGN ACCOUNT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT FUNDS AND USING HIS POSITION TO OBTAIN INTEREST FREE LOANS.  THE NEW TRIAL DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN SCHEDULED.
