VIRGIL LEON CLARK, 76, OF LAWRENCEBURG, DIED FRIDAY. HE WAS RETIRED FROM THE LAWRENCE COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT, A DAIRY FARMER, AND ATTENDED FISHTRAP-CANAAN FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH. MR. CLARK SERVED HIS COUNTRY HONORABLY IN THE U.S. ARMY.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, REBECCA CLARK; FOUR CHILDREN, DANNY CLARK, DINAH GROOMS, DEBORAH MELTON, AND DAVID CLARK, ALL OF LAWRENCEBURG, TN; SIX SISTERS, ELLEN CROSS OF IN, EDNA RINEHART OF OH, SUE LYNCH OF ETHRIDGE, ANN NASH OF SUMMERTOWN, BETTY MOBBS OF ETHRIDGE, AND LINDA SMITH OF LAWRENCEBURG; ONE BROTHER, JIM CLARK OF LAWRENCEBURG; 15 GRANDCHILDREN; AND 23 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR VIRGIL LEON CLARK WILL BE TUESDAY AT 1 AT NEAL FUNERAL HOME WITH BURIAL AT LAWRENCE COUNTY MEMORIAL GARDENS. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE VISITORS TUESDAY FROM 10 TO 1.
