SENIOR CHIEF PETTY OFFICER MICHAEL S. KOLB OF PROSPECT, DIED FRIDAY. HE WAS A VETERAN IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE: MICHELLE THOMPSON KOLB; TWO SONS: MICHAEL AND MARCUS KOLB, BOTH OF PROSPECT; TWO STEP DAUGHTERS: BRITTANY AND JOANN COLLINS, BOTH OF COLUMBIA; HIS PARENTS: MIKE AND JOANN KOLB OF PROSPECT; TWO SISTERS: BONNIE KOLB AND JESSICA LOVETT, BOTH OF NASHVILLE; FOUR GRANDCHILDREN.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR MICHAEL KOLB WILL BE THURSDAY (NOVEMBER 2ND) AT 2 AT COLUMBIA PARKWAY BAPTIST CHURCH WITH BURIAL AT HERITAGE MEMORIAL CEMETERY WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE VISITORS WEDNESDAY (NOVEMBER 1ST) FROM 3 TO 7 AT BENNETT MAY GILES COUNTY FUNERAL HOME AND ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND FROM 12 TO 2 AT COLUMBIA PARKWAY BAPTIST CHURCH.
